As a part of the community wide efforts to contain and prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, all of the White Oak Library District locations closed at the end of the business day on March 13, 2020. Our current plan is to reopen and resume normal services on Wedneday April 8, 2020. Unless you see information to the contrary posted on this website, that is what will happen. Please remember though that this plan is subject to change as is nearly everything else in our communities based on how well the Coronavirus is contained.
Federal authorities have recommended that people avoid gathering in groups of 10 or more for the next 8 weeks. Though we hope to reopen our facilities on Wedneday April 8, 2020, we have already cancelled all library programming and all public meeting room bookings through the end of April. Beyond that, we just need to play it by ear and make adjustments as we get more information.
Rest assured that all library materials currently on loan to patrons will have their due dates extended until we have reopened for business. Also remember that materials may be returned in the drop boxes located at each Branch, as usual.
Please remember to wash your hands often, practice social distancing, and follow all of the other recommended virus containment guidelines. Most of all, be safe and come see us when we are able to reopen!
