Teen Read Week

Celebrate Teen Tech Week 2017 with some of our awesome events!

TAG: Teen Tech Week Edition!

Our TAG meeting this week has a twist: it's Teen Tech Week and we've got some AWESOME new stuff to show off!

The White Oak Library District received a grant from YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) so that we can start new Maker Carts at each library branch! Today we will show you all the awesome features of the new Maker Carts (robots! a tablet! kits that you can make and keep!) and we will also do some fun kits together.

Even if you are not a TAG member, please come to this fabulous showcase of our new, fun service for teens!

Teen Coding Club

Whether you're brand new to coding or you've been writing Java since you were in diapers, this club is for you! We'll use Codecademy.com, which offers self-guided classes on HTML, CSS, Ruby, Java, Python, how to design a website, and MORE! It's totally free and easy to learn! If you're a pro already and you want to just come code to your heart's content, that's great too!
